Mick Bell - Director of Behavioural Support
Having 15 years experience in the sector, Mick has worked with children with special needs and adults with a learning disability and complex behavioural needs. He has worked his way up from support roles through to management within residential services. Mick has a degree in Arts & Humanities and is a Proact-SCIPr instructor, a Person Centered Planning Facilitator and has also trained with the Institute of Applied Behavior Analysis developing Performance Service Reviews under the expert eye of Gary La Vigna. Mick has also undertaken Full Functional Analysis Assessments resulting in the development of positive behaviour programmes for Service Users. Mick has completed his Registered Manager’s Award, whilst working within the role of a Home Manager. He has worked with people having such diverse issues / complexities as Prader-Willi Syndrome, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Epilepsy, Aspergers Syndrome and associated development conditions. Mick is also a speaker at international conferences regarding positive support for people whose complex needs may challenge services.
