our quality: How we deliver, monitor and develop our service THE MORE CENTRE We aim to continually improve the quality of the service we offer. Some of the ways in which we achieve this are as follows: QUALITY ASSURANCE (Periodic Service Review) A quality monitoring system, that measures current performances against a number of clearly defined standards and are completed on a regular basis to monitor the quality of the major aspects of the service, to ensure a high quality of care / support is achieved and maintained. Further to this each person within our service has their own quality assurance programme to measure, monitor and develop a programme of quality based upon the person transitional plan / development. QUALITY MONITORING Internally - We employ a quality and compliance manager, whose role it is to ensure that monthly regulation 26 visits are undertaken and documented. Quality monitoring places an emphasis on every aspect of our service and takes account of the standards we strive to achieve, both for and on behalf of the people who use our service, in the area of: • The environment we provide • Our staff • The training we offer • The documentation we use And this ensures that we are not only working within current legislation but working towards exceeding the standards which are set by outside governing bodies. The people who use our service are also encouraged to contribute to the quality monitoring system we have in place and are asked to freely comment and pass judgement on the service we deliver via regular service user forum meetings. A further example of how we measure the quality of what we provide and deliver is the use of a Step Matrix. This is a visual monitoring tool that works within a framework of capturing the vision and values within Integrated Support visions and values which are at the core of what we do. The primary values of STEP are: • Choice • Community presence and participation • Support • Integrated paid employment We actively encourage the completion of Quality Assurance questionnaires by everyone using our service and people who are involved within each persons circle of support. This also includes our staff and outside professionals. Externally - Our services are registered with The Commission for Social Care Inspection, (CSCI.) and as such, we will undergo regular inspections by a designated CSCI Inspector. From these inspections a very comprehensive report is written, our service is scored, and this score reflects the standard of what we provide and deliver. All such reports are published on the CSCI website and are available to read as public documents.
